The successor to the T480 — newer processor, same sturdiness.
The T14 is what the T480 turned into. Same idea — business chassis, good keyboard, parts you can get — but with newer processors in a thinner machine. It comes with either Intel or AMD Ryzen PRO, and the two are not quite the same.

Good for
- Companies that want a couple of generations newer than the T480
- Mixed use: office, meetings and lighter image work
- Workplaces where Windows 11 is a requirement
Worth knowing
- The AMD models give you more cores for the money. The Intel models have Thunderbolt and therefore more docking options — choose based on the docks you already own.
- Gen 1 and Gen 2 look alike from the outside. If the machines need to do more than office work, ask for Gen 2 with Iris Xe graphics.
