Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock
A mechanical dock that clicks onto the bottom of the machine.
The Ultra Dock clicks onto the bottom of the machine instead of hanging off a cable. That gives a solid connection that does not fall out when somebody nudges the laptop, and it leaves the employee with one thing to do when they sit down.
We do not hold it in stock. We source it per order — tell us the quantity and what the machines are for, and we come back with price and lead time.
Typical configuration
Used hardware turns up in many configurations. The figures here show how the model is usually built — the exact configuration is agreed for your order.
- Connection
- ThinkPad's mechanical dock connector on the underside of the machine
- Monitors
- Up to three monitors at once via DisplayPort, DVI and VGA
- Ports
- Several USB-A, Gigabit Ethernet and audio outputs
- Power
- Its own power supply, which also charges the machine
- Lock
- Key lock, so the dock can be secured to the desk
Good for
- Fixed desks for ThinkPad fleets
- Desks running two or three monitors
- Offices where different people use the same desk
Worth knowing
- The Ultra Dock only fits certain ThinkPad generations. The T480 and machines from the same period use the 40A2 type — tell us which machines you have, and we will match the right one.
- The power supply is often missing from used docks, and the dock will not work without it. Get it written into the agreement.
